This is a painting I completed for “The Canvas Project” facilitated by the Brooklyn Art Library. I was given a one-word prompt, “Desert” and a small 3x3” canvas. The painting was exhibited with those of hundreds of others, and photographed for publication in, “A Visual Encyclopedia: a global visual interpretation of words.” My canvas was then sent to another participant, and I received one in return. -NFS-
